Soft, fluffy dough made with milk holds an aromatic filling of cheese and vanilla. These baked pies are enjoyed warm straight from the oven or cold the next day. The recipe produces approximately 30 pies that disappear quickly from the table.[1]

For the filling, a sour milk product with a fat content between 5 and 9 percent is used. If the cheese is too wet, it is pressed through cheesecloth beforehand. Grains or large flakes are ground through a sieve or blended to achieve an ideal texture.[1]
