Privacy.
Last updated 18 October 2026. Here is what this site stores and why.
Reading and saving.
Bookmarks, colours and the day/night preference stay in your browser’s local storage. Clearing this site’s browser data removes them. We set a random first-party reader cookie to protect forms and keep one reaction per story; it expires after a year. It contains no name or email address.
Community contributions.
We store the name or pen name, title, topic and text you submit, together with its date and review status. Approved contributions are public. Do not include private contact details or information you do not want published. To ask for a correction or removal, submit a note identifying the contribution through Around the table.
Basic operation.
Rate limiting uses a keyed hash of your network address, kept for up to 24 hours. The hosting provider also maintains ordinary web-server access logs. We do not install advertising cookies, third-party analytics or embedded social trackers at launch. Links to other sites take you to their own privacy practices.
AI and public sources.
Article generation processes public source material. Reader submissions are not automatically sent to an AI writing service. Source-fetch working copies are temporary; published summaries retain links and source titles.
